Request
Guests with a physical or mobility impairment should request wheelchair assistance via WhatsApp, Live Chat or the Contact Centre at least 48 hours before departure (visual/hearing impairments can be added directly in Manage Trip).
At airport
Etihad assists from check-in through boarding and baggage claim, and wheelchairs or mobility devices travel free of charge alongside your checked baggage allowance.
Onboard/equipment
You can bring your own wheelchair for free, but electric models must use dry-cell/non-spillable batteries to meet cabin safety rules; three assistance levels (WCHR/WCHS/WCHC) determine the exact support you get.
