Student Flight Offers November 2026: Live Codes and Fares

Students in India have more flight discounts available than most travellers realise. Three airlines run published student fares on their own websites, several booking sites run student coupons, and two specialist sites list student fare categories. They work quite differently — some cut the base fare, some add baggage, some give a fixed rupee discount — so the best one depends on where you are flying and how much luggage you are carrying. This guide lists every student flight offer in our data on 4 November 2026.

We found 7 live offers aimed at students. Every one of them requires proof of student status: usually a valid student ID from a recognised institution, shown at check-in. Without it, airlines can charge the difference to a regular fare or deny boarding, so carry the original ID.

Airline student fares compared

IndiGo's student fare is listed for students aged 12 to 30 and gives up to 10% off the base fare on domestic flights, 10 kg of additional checked baggage on domestic and international flights, and no flight-change fee (fare differences still apply). SpiceJet's student fare is for students aged 12 and above on direct domestic flights: up to 10% off the base fare and a total checked baggage allowance of 25 kg, with bookings described as changeable and refundable but non-transferable. Akasa Air's student fare is for students aged 12 to 28 enrolled in Indian institutions: a flat 7% off the Saver base fare on direct domestic flights plus 10 kg of extra check-in baggage.

If you are moving to or from college with luggage, the baggage allowance can be worth more than the fare discount. If your dates might change, IndiGo's waived change fee is the distinguishing feature.

Booking-site student coupons

EaseMyTrip's EMTSTUDENT coupon is listed with savings of up to ₹3,000, valid to 30 November 2026, and Cleartrip's STUDENTFEST lists savings of up to ₹10,000 for eligible students booking international flights. These are booking-site coupons, so they usually occupy the promo-code slot and may not combine with a bank code on the same booking. IRCTC Air and SastaSafar list student fare categories alongside other special fares.

Studying abroad

For international students the Cleartrip student offer and the bank and card offers with international caps are the main options. Many students pay with a parent's card; in that case the card offer depends on the card, not the traveller, and the student offer depends on the traveller — so test both on the same flight. Common mistakes

Booking a student fare without a valid student ID to show at check-in.
Assuming the age range is the same at every airline — it differs (12–30 at IndiGo, 12–28 at Akasa, 12+ at SpiceJet as listed).
Comparing the percentage without checking it applies to the base fare only.
Forgetting that special-fare bookings are excluded from some sales, such as Akasa's festive sale.

Which student offer suits which trip

For a short domestic trip with only a backpack, a fixed-rupee coupon or a straightforward fare discount is usually what matters. For moving into or out of a hostel with a suitcase or two, the extra baggage on the airline student fares can be worth more than the discount itself, because excess baggage at the airport is charged separately. For a semester-start trip whose date may move, the change-fee waiver on IndiGo's student fare is the feature to look at. For a first trip abroad to study, the international student coupon and the bank international caps are the relevant comparison.

Whatever you choose, book in the exact name shown on your ID, keep the student ID with your boarding documents, and check the institution requirement on the source page — Akasa's terms, for example, specify enrolment in Indian institutions.
