EaseMyTrip's EMTDOCTOR coupon is listed for doctors and nurses of recognised hospitals and clinics, with up to ₹5,000 off domestic and international flights per passenger per sector. The terms ask travellers to carry their hospital ID at check-in. The listing shows an end date of 30 November 2026.
Documents to carry
- Armed forces: the service ID card or dependent card the airline or site specifies.
- Doctors and nurses: hospital or clinic ID, as named in the offer terms.
- The government photo ID matching the ticket name.
- A copy of the offer terms or booking confirmation showing the fare category.
If the airline cannot verify eligibility at check-in, it may charge the fare difference. That is the main risk with any special fare, so check the document requirement on the source page before booking.
Special fare or card offer?
A special fare is tied to the traveller; a card offer is tied to the payment. Sometimes you can use both — a defence fare paid with a card that has an automatic discount — and sometimes the site allows only one. How fare categories differ from coupon codes
Two of the defence options above are fare categories on specialist booking sites rather than codes typed at payment. You select the category — for example armed forces — when you search, and the results show the fares available to that category. Because the category is chosen before you see a price, it is worth running the same search twice, once with the category and once without, and comparing the payable amounts for the same flight. A category fare is not always lower than the best ordinary fare plus a card offer, but it often comes with eligibility-linked benefits — in IRCTC Air's case the ₹50 lakh travel insurance listed on eligible bookings.
Coupon codes such as EMTDOCTOR work the other way round: you see the ordinary fare first, then enter the code and the discount is applied if the booking meets the terms. The terms we recorded state the benefit as up to ₹5,000 per passenger per sector, so a return trip involves two sectors, and the exact amount for your booking is shown at checkout.
Booking for colleagues or family
If you are booking for a group in which only some travellers are eligible — a doctor travelling with family, for example — the professional offer applies only to the eligible traveller unless the terms say otherwise. Split the booking if the site does not allow a mixed booking, and keep each traveller's ID ready for check-in.
